Clinical Nurse II: Neuroscience and Epilepsy Care

Join our dynamic team in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and be a vital part of patient care!

As a Clinical Nurse, you will assess, coordinate, plan, and direct patient care with a strong emphasis on facilitating smooth transitions during the acute care process. You will ensure that high-quality, compassionate care is delivered uniformly to patients, referring facilities, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, and document care in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Apply sound nursing judgment to manage patient care decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care.
• Mentor and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining high nursing standards.

What You Bring:

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, with a minimum of 1 year in Telemetry or ICU.
• A commitment to continuous education and professional development.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and ability to apply them in practice.
