Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

Hourly Rate: $34.65 - $35.69

Unit Overview: The Colorectal Surgery and Urology Unit is designed to provide comprehensive post-surgical care in a comfortable setting with 22 semi-private rooms. Our dedicated team focuses on patients who have recently undergone colorectal or urologic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and care plans, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing necessary treatments and procedures.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and address patient conditions effectively.
• Continuously evaluate and assess patient needs, ensuring high standards of care and outcomes.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care decisions and promote optimal health.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop effective Plans of Care tailored to individual patient needs.
• Guide and mentor ancillary personnel while maintaining the professionalism and standards expected in nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an active NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and education.
