Clinical Nurse III: Colorectal Surgery and Urology - Nights

Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

Join our dynamic Colorectal Surgery unit as a Clinical Nurse, where you will work 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Our unit consists of 22 semi-private rooms dedicated to post-surgical care for patients who have undergone colorectal and urologic procedures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting with a variety of clinical procedures including chest tube insertion, central line placements, wound vac changes, NG tube management, and catheter care.
• Assessing, coordinating, planning, implementing, and managing patient care with a focus on progression toward discharge.
• Administering medications and treatments, and ensuring compliance with medical orders and documentation standards.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Utilizing sound nursing judgment to evaluate patient conditions and tailor care accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
• Commitment to continuous education and professional development.
