Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department, where you will be at the forefront of patient care. You will assess, coordinate, plan, and implement a comprehensive approach to managing patient needs throughout their episode of care, ensuring a smooth transition toward discharge. Your role will include collaborating with a dedicated caregiving team to provide exceptional patient care in diverse settings.
Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care per policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions accurately.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patients' needs and responses to care.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment in all patient management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription options.
- Collaborate with nursing teams to create comprehensive plans of care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.
- Must obtain and maintain certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferred in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance job performance through ongoing education.
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and techniques.
