Job Description

• Effectively implements physician orders, administers medications, initiates IVs, and performs a variety of treatments and procedures while adhering to company policies and local/state/federal regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Continuously evaluates patient needs and responses to the care provided.
• Utilizes sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
• Provides immediate and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational emergencies.
• Administers medications (prescription and over-the-counter) as per physician orders.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Supervises and guides ancillary staff while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and techniques, with the ability to apply them to enhance departmental and patient care quality.
