Job Description Summary:

The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in creating a supportive and empathetic environment for patients, families, and colleagues. We value the contributions of each employee, recognizing their impact on our mission of providing excellent care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and special tests, while documenting care in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to the care provided.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment for effective patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer both over-the-counter and prescribed medications as per orders.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide and direct ancillary personnel to maintain high standards of nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
  • Must possess a current New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
  • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and effective problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge to enhance patient care quality.
