Clinical Nurse III: Hematology/Oncology - Weekend Days

Join our dynamic Hematology/Oncology team in a rewarding Clinical Nurse III position focused on patient care and support during weekend days. In this role, you will assess, coordinate, and implement comprehensive care for patients, ensuring their needs are met throughout their treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Continuously evaluate and manage patient needs and responses to care.
• Exercise sound judgment in managing patient care decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as prescribed, both over-the-counter and prescription.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized care plans.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's degree).
• Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Prior experience as a Patient Care Assistant or in a similar role is beneficial.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles and techniques.
