Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, all while documenting as per policies and legal regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess and identify patient conditions.
• Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to the care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer prescribed medications and over-the-counter drugs as ordered.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to devise comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a recognized nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools; ability to apply these for departmental and patient care quality improvements.
