Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

The Clinical Nurse III plays a vital role in assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of surgical patients throughout their care journey. Our focus is on ensuring a smooth transition towards discharge, with the surgical nurse acting as the patient advocate during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications to the sterile field while documenting as required by organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
• Act as a strong advocate for patients in the surgical environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree preferred).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; CNOR certification is preferred.
• At least 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
• Ability to apply quality improvement principles and problem-solving techniques effectively.
