Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse III, where you will play a crucial role in assessing, coordinating, and managing the care of patients dealing with neuroscience and epilepsy conditions. This position focuses on ensuring excellent patient outcomes throughout their episode of care, including seamless transitions within their acute care stay.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document as required by company policies and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate individual patient needs and their response to care rendered.
  • Apply clinical judgment to make sound patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications as ordered by physicians.
  • Collaborate closely with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a professional nursing program conferring a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Must possess a current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required and must be maintained.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is mandatory.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Telemetry or ICU is required.
  • Commitment to continuous education to enhance job performance.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques to support quality improvement in patient care.
