Clinical Nurse III - Night Shift (Pediatrics)

Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center in the General Pediatrics-D7 department, where we strive to create a compassionate and caring environment for our patients, families, and colleagues. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse III to work 36 hours per week on the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications, including starting IVs and performing treatments, procedures, and special tests while documenting treatment in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
• Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in management decisions regarding patient care.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with a demonstrated ability to apply them in support of quality improvement in patient care.
