Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

The Registered Professional Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of surgical patients throughout their care journey. With a focus on advocacy during procedures and seamless transitions within the acute care setting, the surgical nurse expertly coordinates and manages care, guaranteeing a compassionate experience for all patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications in the sterile field, ensuring compliance with all organizational and regulatory policies.
• Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, making informed nursing judgments to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervise and support ancillary personnel, upholding high standards of professional nursing practice.
• Act as a dedicated patient advocate within the surgical environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree preferred).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); CNOR certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, preferably in a surgical setting.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques relevant to patient care.
