Clinical Nurse III - Orthopedic Trauma and Elective Surgery

Position Details:

• Position Title: Clinical Nurse III
• Department: Elective Orthopedics - B3W
• Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Days
• Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

In this vital role, you will:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary treatments, adhering to all policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
• Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment to manage patient care decisions appropriately.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as required.
• Collaborate with your nursing team to develop and implement personalized patient care plans.
• Guide and mentor ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is essential.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills are required.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques is beneficial.
