Job Description

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and special tests, ensuring thorough documentation in accordance with company policy and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patients' needs and their responses to care received.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer prescribed medications, both over-the-counter and by prescription.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide and support ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from a recognized professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
  • At least 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings is required.
  • Exceptional communication, prioritization, organization, and time-management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and principles along with problem-solving skills is necessary to support continuous improvement in patient care quality.
