Clinical Nurse III - Post Cardiothoracic Surgery

This fast-paced specialty unit caters to patients undergoing cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiac catheterization, structural heart interventional procedures, and electrophysiology. This position is available on the night shift, and we offer a competitive salary range of $76,396.32 - $126,730.61, with an hourly rate between $34.65 and $35.69.

What You Will Do:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications.
• Start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assess patient needs and responses to care provided.
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop effective Plans of Care for patients.
• Guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• 1-3 years of prior clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them to support departmental and patient care quality improvement.
