Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61
The Clinical Nurse plays a critical role in assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, and managing the needs of patients throughout their healthcare journey, particularly focusing on their progress toward discharge. This position ensures the delivery and coordination of high-quality patient care across various settings, including inpatient, ambulatory, and community areas.
On our Vascular Surgery Units, you will care for patients facing complex health challenges, including fresh amputations and extensive vascular surgeries aimed at improving blood flow. Required training provided includes BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, wound care, Wound-Vacs, and central line management.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care in compliance with regulations.
- Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
- Assessing patient needs and responses to care.
- Applying sound nursing judgment in managing patient care.
- Providing primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administering medications as prescribed.
- Collaborating with the nursing team to create and manage an effective Plan of Care.
- Leading and guiding ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred.
- Willingness to enhance skills through continuing education.
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and techniques.
