Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse III to join our Vascular Surgery team! In this role, you will play a critical part in assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care to ensure the highest quality of service. As a Clinical Nurse, you'll focus on facilitating a smooth transition of care towards discharge, ensuring that each patient receives competent and compassionate treatment.

On our Vascular Surgery Units, you will work with patients presenting with a variety of co-morbidities, including those with recent amputations, complex vascular surgeries, and vascular wounds. Our team values ongoing education; training will be provided in essential areas such as BLS, ACLS, telemetry, wound care, and the management of complex medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, and document all procedures in accordance with established protocols.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to assess and optimize patient care.
  • Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment in decision-making.
  • Provide essential and emergency nursing care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized Plans of Care.
  • Guide and support ancillary personnel, maintaining professional nursing standards throughout patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).
  • Active New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Previous experience as a PCA or in a similar nursing support role is preferred.
  • Commitment to professional development through continuing education.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
