Position Overview:

Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse IV in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and special tests while documenting care as required by company policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
• Assess patient needs and evaluate their responses to the care rendered.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care effectively.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including both over-the-counter and prescription options.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Must obtain and sustain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, organization, and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques with a proven ability to enhance departmental and patient care quality.
