Clinical Nurse – Med Surg Float Team

Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

The Med Surg Float Team Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare system, providing nursing care across multiple areas including medicine, post-surgical, and emergency departments. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document all care following company policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluate patients' needs and responses to care.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries.
• Administer medications as ordered, both over-the-counter and prescription.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Care Plans for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Must possess a current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is essential.
• A minimum of 1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous education and improvement of job performance.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and tools is preferred.
