Clinical Nurse - PACU, Evening Shift

Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. We are seeking compassionate and caring registered nurses who excel in providing exceptional patient care. Your Responsibilities:

• Execute physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments along with special tests, documenting treatment in accordance with established policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to delivered care.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications per orders.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for each patient.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from a professional academic nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques. Ability to apply this knowledge to enhance departmental and patient care quality.
