Clinical Nurse - Weekend Night Rehab

Join our dedicated team in the E8 Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit as a Clinical Nurse. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to work the weekend night shift and make a significant difference in the lives of our patients as they adjust to chronic illnesses or injuries.

As a rehabilitation nurse, your role will involve:

  • Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting all procedures as per company policies and regulations.
  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
  • Conducting thorough assessments to determine patient needs and monitor responses to care.
  • Utilizing sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
  • Providing primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administering prescribed medications and over-the-counter treatments as ordered.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guiding ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained and maintained.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving skills to enhance departmental and patient care quality.
