SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for the oversight and leadership of the Social Services Team. The Clinical Social Worker Supervisor will carry a reduced caseload and actively participate in day-to-day treatment delivery model.

ESSENTIALS DUTIES:
Plans, organizes, and supervises all aspects of the Social Services department. Provide assessment, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning for mentally ill patients/clients. Collaborate with hospital leadership team in an effort for continued quality improvement. Develop policies and procedures, implement new delivery model initiatives and coordinate services.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Five (5) years successful experience in a psychiatric setting providing individual, family, and group therapy.

Desired Experience

Experience with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.
Two (2) Years Successful experience in Child and Sexual Abuse, Adolescent and Adult Psychopathology, Substance Abuse, and Family Counseling in a Psychiatric Hospital.
Supervisory and administration experience in a psychiatric hospital.
Training/Teaching Experience with Social Work Students/ Interns.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATES
Master's degree in social work from an accredited school of Social Work
Desired Education
Masters' health administration or master's business administration or master public health

Minimum Certification / Licensure Required Masters

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Management of Aggressive Behavior (M.O.A.B)
REQUIREMENTS

Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance.
Valid California Driver's license.
TB clearance.
Driving record acceptable for coverage by Gateways insurance carrier.
Fire and Safety Training .
First Aid Training Certification .
CPR Certification .
Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI)

Note: If indicated certifications/licenses are lacking, they must be obtained within 180 days of hire.

Training needs to be completed within 30 days from the date of hire on a designated date provided by on-boarding. Staff need to be certified at the commensurate level for their role to perform their job duties (staff will be taken off the schedule if certification is not achieved).
