Title: Commercial Insurance Account Manager Associate

Work Mode: Remote/ Eastern and Central Time Zones Only | Location/Supporting: Longwood, FL | Book Focus: Agriculture, Construction

Please note: If this position is posted as either fully remote and/or hybrid, individuals residing within a 50-mile radius of a branch location may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity as there may be occasions when on-site presence is necessary. About the Role: As a Commercial Insurance Account Manager Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our account team and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. You will work with minimal direction from an Account Manager or Producer, ensuring that production and quality standards are met while effectively managing customer service inquiries and smaller-sized accounts with less complexity. Your ability to independently resolve moderately complex problems will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Competence: Maintain and enhance your technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Team Leadership: Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the account team, including support staff.
  • Customer Service: Address customer service requests, manage policy administration, billing, claims, and conduct coverage analyses.
  • Policy Management: Oversee policy expirations and renewals to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Renewal Process: Conduct comprehensive client research, gather underwriting information, perform loss run analysis, prepare submissions, evaluate coverages and pricing, and facilitate the proposal process.
  • Task Processing: Accurately process tasks within required timeframes.
  • Contract Review: Assist in reviewing contracts to confirm proper coverage inclusions.
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor delinquent accounts and take proactive steps to collect outstanding balances.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of agency management systems and carrier platforms.
  • Activity Monitoring: Track and manage ongoing activity/suspense for timely completions.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the account team regarding workload and any issues that arise.
  • Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service, anticipate client needs, and respond rapidly to requests.
  • Policy Compliance: Stay current on company policies and procedures to ensure adherence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Seek and implement best practices to enhance both individual and team performance.
  • Champion Company Values: Uphold integrity and demonstrate leadership within the team.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
  • Deep understanding of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active licensing required; professional designation preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Salary Range:

The expected pay range for this position is 55-70K annually, depending on experience, relevant skills, and geographic location.
