Job Overview:

Position: Account Manager - Commercial Lines

Remote Work: This position is fully remote, but candidates should be located in the Central or Mountain Time Zone.

Role Support: You will support Shared Services by providing temporary assistance to other account teams and management support to new producers during their initial 3-6 months.

Preferred Experience: We are looking for candidates with experience in the construction and contractor sectors, as well as in real estate.

Please note that if this position is hybrid or fully remote, company policy may require individuals living within a 50-mile radius of a branch location to work onsite occasionally. A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is also necessary for remote work. This role isn't a substitute for childcare, elder care, or other personal responsibilities during work hours. Role Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Maintain knowledge and expertise in the industry.
  • Leadership: Oversee and guide the daily activities of the account management team.
  • Customer Service: Manage customer service inquiries, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
  • Policy Oversight: Handle policy expirations and renewals effectively.
  • Renewal Process Management: Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor accounts and manage actions on delinquent accounts, ensuring collection of outstanding balances.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure accuracy and completeness in agency management systems and vendor platforms.
  • Activity Monitoring: Uphold activity and suspense to ensure timely task completion.
  • Communication: Foster clear and regular communication within the account team about workload and issues.
  • Exceptional Service: Deliver outstanding service by proactively anticipating customer needs and responding swiftly to requests.
  • Compliance Awareness: Stay informed about company policies and procedures relevant to the role.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek out and implement best practices for enhancing individual and team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in account management.
  • Strong understanding of insurance brokerage and client requirements.
  • Active insurance license required; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills combined with effective communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Salary Information: The expected salary range for this position is $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year, based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
