In the role of Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) Project Administrator, you will manage and oversee transportation projects. We seek someone with a robust background in managing transportation projects for municipalities and/or FDOT. Experience with FDOT SCOP, SCRAP, and LAP grant funding is advantageous.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for CEI services on FDOT and local agency transportation projects.
  • Administer contracts, oversee budgets, and ensure projects adhere to schedules.
  • Lead construction inspection teams, ensuring compliance with FDOT specifications, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with contractors, Engineers of Record, and project staff to manage submittals, RFIs, and pay applications.
  • Handle documentation and reporting for grant-funded projects, focusing on Davis-Bacon wage verification and LAP compliance.
  • Engage with contractors, FDOT representatives, and local agencies to address issues and ensure project progress.
  • Review and authorize pay estimates, change orders, and closeout documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A minimum of 5 years of CEI inspection and project administration experience with FDOT or local agencies on transportation projects.
  • A BS in Engineering with 3 years of CEI experience can substitute for the 5 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of FDOT specifications and procedures.
  • Familiarity with roadway, drainage, and utility construction practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • FDOT CTQP certifications (Project Administrator, Earthwork, Asphalt, Concrete) required.
  • Proficiency in FDOT systems like SiteManager and other project management tools preferred.
  • Fieldwork is expected in the Southwest Florida region.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are necessary.
  • No sponsorship is available now or in the future for this role.
