Corporate Accountant

The Corporate Accountant is responsible for providing accounting support to the Corporate accounting team. This position supports the Corporate controller in all things accounting including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis and reporting. Additionally, this position is called on to support the external audit process, document processes and debt compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Prepare journal entries necessary to accurately reflect the results of operations. Ensure all journal entries have appropriate support and approval.
Prepare all required account reconciliations and ensure all are documented and retained appropriately.
Review Corporate income statement and balance sheet, analyze variance to budget for departments and prior period, investigate significant changes, and make corrections and observations as needed.
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Responsible for compiling financial data to satisfy corporate consolidation on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Responsible for compiling financial data to support debt reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including preparation of debt compliance certificates.
Collaborate with others to establish best practices and accounting department objectives.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree required; CPA or Masters in accounting a plus
3-5 years experience in accounting; public industry experience a plus
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products
Experience on Netsuite and/or FloQast a plus
Ability to partner effectively with internal and external teams of the Company
Self-starter, able to work independently
