Cost Accountant

Overview:

Our Client, a premier producer of high-quality products, is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the company's financial planning and cost management efforts. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong background in cost accounting and analysis.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and monitor product costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.
Prepare and maintain standard cost data for inventory valuation and cost analysis.
Assist in the development and implementation of cost control systems and procedures.
Perform cost variance analysis and identify areas for improvement.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate product costing.
Prepare cost reports and present findings to management.
Assist in inventory management and periodic physical inventory counts.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost reduction.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management.
