PURPOSE/SUMMARY (Brief overview of why job exists, general purpose of position)
Apply principles of cost accounting and analytical studies of detailed cost information systems, to provide support and cost analysis to the manufacturing facility. Report, analyze, and lead to the improvement of internal cost controls and efficiency. Collaborate with Finance and Operations to collect and analyze detailed operational costs and support to operational departments. Assist in operational rate development & maintenance, cost planning analysis, month-end reporting, and inventory analysis. Maintain appropriate accounting records, and control, in accordance with corporate and statutory guidelines.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List of 8 # 10 key tasks required of the job which are essential to the performance of this job)
• Utilizing the ERP system to evaluate bills of material, routing, and labor/overhead rates, develop and maintain standard costs for all products manufactured at the location.
• Analyze and report on actual costs, via weekly key performance measurements reports for scrap, labor utilization, work order variance and other critical metrics.
• Support of new products, reviewing actual costs from preproduction builds, and finalization of the standard costs upon final sign off to regular production.
• Coordinate, control and monitor cycle count program.
• Prepare month end journal entries and preparation of supporting month end operating reports
• Analyze and review inventory levels, in collaboration with Supply Chain to assess excess and obsolete inventory exposure.
• Ability to explain finance/accounting concepts to non-financial managers.
• Assist in preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecast updates.
• Maintain internal controls consistent with JSOX.
• Assist Dir. Finance and company leadership on special projects.
• Support of other departments with information and analysis as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • BS or BBA Accounting degree.
• 3-5 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to a standard cost accounting system.
• Analytical, detail oriented and an in-depth working knowledge of EXCEL.
• Team Player
• Comfortable working in a factory environment.
