COTA

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is responsible for providing professional occupational therapy assistance and coordinates patient health care services in conjunction with a licensed Occupational Therapist to ensure a safe environment and in accordance with State, and Federal guidelines. Provides treatment as directed by the staff Occupational Therapist. Adheres to standards of occupational medicine practice. Observes and evaluated treatment for both inpatient and outpatient services.
