Critical Care Float Pool Clinical Nurse II - Nights

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Critical Care Float Pool, working 36 hours per week during night shifts. This role offers a competitive salary range of $72,072.00 - $74,229.26, with an hourly pay range of $34.65 - $35.69.

The Clinical Nurse plays a crucial role in assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of patients throughout their care journey, focusing on progress toward discharge and ensuring seamless transitions during their hospital stay. You will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of patient care while ensuring high standards of compassionate care is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, and perform treatments and procedures, adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as ordered, both over-the-counter and prescription.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained and maintained.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience required, with a minimum of 1 year in Telemetry or ICU.
• Commitment to continuous education to enhance job performance.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply problem-solving techniques effectively.
