Critical Care Float Pool Clinical Nurse III - 40hrs/week, Days

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your critical care skills across various essential units, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and MSICU. Moreover, while working in the region's only Level I trauma center, you can expand your expertise in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care areas.

Position Details:

• Work Shift: Day
• Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61
• Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93

As a Clinical Nurse, you will help create a compassionate environment for patients, families, and colleagues by demonstrating kindness and active listening. You will play a crucial role in implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and documenting treatments as per company policy and regulations.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Assessing patient needs and responses to care.
• Using sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Providing primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborating with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Guiding ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of nursing professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Must possess a current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques to support patient care improvement.
