Critical Care Nurse IV - Float Pool (36hrs/week, Days)

Join our dynamic Critical Care Float Pool team! This is a unique opportunity to enhance your critical care skills across various high-acuity areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and MSICU.

You will enjoy a diverse work environment at our facility, recognized as the region's only Level I trauma center. Here’s what you can expect:

• Work in all Critical Care areas while gaining valuable competencies in Emergency Department and neuro-progressive care.
• Contribute to patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting treatments as required.
• Engage in diagnostic test interpretation and assessment to effectively evaluate patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a skilled nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans tailored for each patient.
• Guide ancillary personnel and uphold high standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is essential.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills are a must.
• Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques is preferred.
