Join Leidos as a Customer Service Representative for Rental Housing at our FHA Resource Center in Indianapolis, IN. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in assisting renters, tenants, property managers, homebuyers, and homeowners. You will provide vital resources and referrals to address their rental needs while also managing inquiries related to home purchasing and ownership. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain insights into HUD rental assistance programs and FHA Housing Administration mortgage offerings through comprehensive training, all while delivering outstanding customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing incoming phone calls regarding multifamily rental assistance requests, including tenant complaints, following standard operating procedures.
- Handling backup inquiries related to home buying and loan servicing from the public.
- Providing accurate information and resources to our customers to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Utilizing our knowledge base and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to address customer queries effectively.
- Recording customer communications in our internal database for tracking and follow-up.
To excel as a Customer Service Representative for Rental Housing, you should have:
- The ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications, efficiently utilizing search tools.
- Excellent time management skills and a dependable work ethic.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Teams).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent telephone etiquette.
- Keyboarding skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- A minimum of two (2) years of property management experience coupled with one (1) year in a contact center or telephone customer service role.
- The ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which involves a credit check and background investigation.
- Availability from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm ET in Indianapolis, IN (subject to change based on customer needs).
- English proficiency; bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HUD-subsidized multifamily apartments or public housing.
- Familiarity with call center environments (Omnichannel).

Compensation: The pay for this position ranges from $18 to $20 per hour.
