The Role

As the Deputy Program Manager, you will be instrumental in the effective execution of a significant cybersecurity contract for Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Collaborating closely with the Program Manager, you will ensure the efficient delivery of Security Operations Support Services across 16 cybersecurity domains. Your responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, guiding contractor teams, maintaining vital program documentation, and ensuring all contract obligations are met with exceptional quality. In the absence of the Program Manager, you will act as the primary liaison between our contractor personnel and government stakeholders to maintain operational continuity, clear communication, and service stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Program Manager in overseeing all task order activities spanning the 16 cybersecurity service areas.
  • Lead and support contractor teams in addressing complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of major contract deliverables, including the Project Management Plan (PMP) and monthly status reports.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for government stakeholders during the Program Manager's absence.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and evaluate performance metrics to ensure compliance and high-quality service delivery.
  • Facilitate task assignments across contractor teams to promote efficient workflows and operational readiness.
  • Assist in the planning, tracking, and implementation of contract-level initiatives and strategic activities.
  • Ensure alignment of cybersecurity services with contract requirements and CBP mission objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of direct project or program management experience in supporting information systems or computer network services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and drive project completion across various technical disciplines.
  • Exceptional communication, client management, and leadership skills.
  • Capability to oversee the development of contract deliverables and project documentation.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or within federal program environments.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Certification as a CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
  • CISSP ISSMP - Information Systems Security Management Professional.
  • CISM - Certified Information Security Manager.
  • PMP - Project Management Professional.
  • Experience with DHS, CBP, or other federal cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Experience in coordinating large, multidisciplinary teams.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust government clearance.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in specific states, including California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The salary range for this position is between $116,900 and $243,100 USD.
