Join our team as a Dangerous Goods Warehouse Operations Specialist, where you will play a vital role in enhancing our Warehouse Operations under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor and Manager. You'll be taking part in various operations, including Air & Ocean Container Freight Stations (CFS), Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), and Distribution. Our focus is on continuous improvement, adhering to best practices, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) while exceeding customer service expectations safely and in compliance with company standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Loading and unloading freight, both floor loads and palletized, onto trucks.
  • Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, pickers, and reach-trucks.
  • Receiving and sorting inventories by SKU, Customer, and PO# while processing damage exceptions.
  • Utilizing radio frequency (RF)/Bluetooth handheld devices effectively.
  • Managing the receiving of returns and logging or inputting data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Preparing selected cartons for customs examinations or distribution.
  • Accurately processing shipments and training others on Small Parcel/Ship Manager.
  • Picking and packing individual units while ensuring that cargo remains undamaged.
  • Maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
  • Reporting any safety concerns or equipment issues to the Supervisors and local Management.
  • Assisting with billing activities and ensuring accurate inventory records.
  • Setting up accounts in the WMS and resolving problems that may delay freight movement.
  • Managing customer-specific shipping activities to fulfill orders.
  • Operating the WMS proficiently, particularly with RF handhelds.
  • Reconciling paperwork and cargo during both shipping and receiving operations.
  • Leading cycle counting processes to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Directing temporary labor in various warehouse functions.
  • Handling specific carton processes related to ULD Build and Breakdown and CCSF Screening.
  • Working with varying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

To qualify for this role, you should have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant Warehouse or related experience.
  • Preferred experience in International Freight Forwarding Warehouse Operations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and math skills.
  • The ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and more with assistance.
  • Certification on all Machine Handling Equipment (MHEs) as needed.
  • Good safety judgment and the ability to prioritize work effectively.

If applicable, you must be licensed to operate a vehicle, meet state and federal DOT regulations, and possess valid travel documentation for crossing borders. Completion of DG Awareness training and TSA certification for operating within a CCSF is required.

The pay for this position ranges from $13.99 to $23.41 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance, retirement plans, and tuition reimbursement.

This position is on-site, with schedules from Tuesday to Saturday, including various shifts.
