Dermatology Medical Assistant

As our Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing support to our providers in a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The medical assistant is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the providers' clinical day.

Essential Functions

Our surgical assistants are a huge part of our practice. They are responsible for daily job duties that include:

Taking patients' medical histories
Preparing rooms and patients for procedures
Numbing, bandaging, assisting providers before, during and after biopsies
Sending prescriptions, triaging calls, being a liaison between patients and providers
Ensuring sterile instruments, tools and items are ready and available for procedures
Anticipating providers' needs

COMPENSATION: Up to $21 per hour (DOE)

Experience
Required
1 year(s): Previous training in: EMR, Patient charting/scribing medical exams, surgical experience, suture removals, Eprescribing and counseling in wound care.
Preferred
1 year(s): Dermatology experience familiar with the following is a plus. Sterile technique, MOHS surgery, Skin cancer excision, Cyst excision & drainage, Abscess drainage, EDC, Suture removal and photodynamic therapy.
