Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing assistant in all food service functions as directed in accordance with established nursing policies and procedures. They are responsible for providing a positive, caring and homelike environment for the residents.

Qualifications:

At least 18 years of age, neat and professional appearance

Essential Functions of the Job:

Ensures that residents are treated with dignity, kindness and respect.
Assembles residents trays according to menus.
Prepares serving areas with cold foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, flatware, etc.
Apportions food items based on diet order and residents preference.
Serves in the residents dining area as needed/serves employee meals
Maintains a sanitary, neat orderly department and work area.
Disposes of food and waste in accordance with established policies.

Attends ongoing in-service and training programs as needed.

Dining Services: 1 year (preferred)
