The Role: As a Direct Insurance Sales Advisor, you will take charge of your schedule and drive your own success. You will connect with business owners and key decision-makers, understanding their needs and presenting insurance solutions that excel. Utilizing our advanced Salesforce CRM, you will engage potential clients through cold calls and in-person visits, with your mission being to close deals and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.

In this position, your assertiveness and confidence will help ensure clients feel valued and understood. You will maintain relationships through strong communication, addressing inquiries decisively and providing unwavering support, especially during the claims process.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in sales or customer-facing roles, particularly in outside sales.
  • Ability to conduct training cycles effectively, both in-person and online.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A passion for empowering clients and a strong sense of responsibility for their well-being.
  • Health & Life general lines license, or the drive to obtain it within 90 days (with our support).

Position Overview:

This outside sales position will give you the opportunity to work within your assigned sales territory. We will provide training to engage with small and medium-sized businesses across various industries, meeting face-to-face with business owners and decision-makers to offer top-tier supplemental insurance products and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to general emails and phone calls from clients.
  • Setting follow-up appointments with prospective and current clients to assess their needs.
  • Being present on scheduled calls or meetings with your sales team or manager.
  • Calling on new businesses, referrals, and existing clients: Selling Business to Business.
  • Building and maintaining your own book of business.
  • Meeting with your sales team manager to discuss and set monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Developing strong relationships with local business owners in your territory.
  • Setting your own working hours and submitting them weekly to your sales manager.
  • Following up on provided sales leads and engaging in cold-calling efforts.
  • Submitting daily sales metrics and activity reports.

Additional Position Qualifications:

  • Current Health & Life general lines license preferred (or willingness to obtain it with our support).
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience, with relevant outside sales experience considered.
