JSS Search has been engaged by Accounting for Sustainability (A4S) to identify a passionate and dynamic Director to spearhead the growth of their CFO programme. About the Role
Founded by HM King Charles III in 2004, A4S aims to revolutionize finance to integrate sustainability into business operations. Collaborating with top CFOs, finance professionals, and educational institutions, A4S is dedicated to fostering resilient business models and a sustainable economy. We are seeking a highly driven Director to enhance our CFO programme, delivering significant impact and integrating sustainability seamlessly within business strategies.
The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker with exceptional communication skills and a proactive approach to growing awareness and support for A4S's initiatives. Key responsibilities will include overseeing the effective operation and expansion of A4S programmes, representing the organization at various events, and leading workshops and capacity-building sessions.
Work Arrangement
The position can be hybrid (if based in the UK) or remote (if located in Europe). A4S is currently piloting a 'four-day week', working from Monday to Thursday with one Friday off on average every four weeks.
About You
The successful candidate will possess a robust regional network and a proven track record in relationship building, membership growth, and strategic partnership development. Strong organizational skills are essential to manage a complex array of activities and deliver high-quality outputs effectively. A strong background in business, especially with sustainability knowledge, is crucial; accounting or MBA qualifications will be advantageous.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Leading and expanding the European Chapter of the A4S CFO Leadership Network, fostering strong relationships with members while encouraging their sustainability goals.
- Utilizing your expertise to drive meaningful change across major European businesses by enabling CFOs and finance teams to achieve sustainable outcomes.
- Enhancing finance teams' capabilities through engaging workshops and events that promote the integration of sustainability into business strategies and operations.
- Developing a dynamic regional strategy aligned with A4S's global vision, while tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary based on stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborating with global colleagues to shape A4S's overall direction and identify potential partnerships and funding opportunities.
- Enhancing outreach and communication to elevate A4S's profile and showcase member achievements within the region at various events and conferences.
