About the Role
The Company is eager to find a Director of Estate and Planned Giving to spearhead the development and enhancement of a strategic program aimed at securing gifts through diverse planned giving mechanisms. This vital role will involve designing and executing a multi-year strategic plan, setting priorities, and collaborating closely with fundraising teams and the Alumni Association to achieve organizational objectives. The Director will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major and principal level gift prospects both independently and in partnership with their colleagues.
The ideal candidate will lead marketing initiatives for planned giving, provide expert guidance to donors and partners, and ensure the program remains aligned with the organization's mission and values. A robust background in planned giving is crucial, along with the ability to advise on the tax and financial dimensions of various giving initiatives. This role includes planning and managing all facets of the planned giving program and negotiating gift terms effectively.
Experience in supervising staff, delivering presentations, and organizing seminars on planned giving topics is essential. A comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape associated with planned gifts is important. Additionally, the Director will be expected to track donor interactions, deliver regular progress reports, and engage actively in events and initiatives that advance the company's philanthropic goals.
