About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of External Financial Reporting to lead our dynamic finance team. In this essential role, you will prepare and review US GAAP financial statements while ensuring compliance with external reporting and internal control requirements. Your responsibilities will include managing disclosure updates and collaborating with multiple departments such as Ceded Reinsurance, Actuarial, and Treasury to align our financial reports with US GAAP/SEC standards.
You will provide technical accounting guidance, monitor FASB/SEC developments, coordinate with auditors, support SOX compliance, and evaluate any misstatements. We are looking for a candidate who excels at balancing multiple priorities and deadlines while guiding finance teams on best practices in financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US GAAP financial statements, revenue recognition, and analytics, with proven experience in writing accounting policy memos. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage a team, provide strategic direction, and uphold the highest standards of financial reporting.
