Role Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Leadership: Collaborate with teachers to create an engaging, welcoming environment where children can thrive through play and learning.
  2. Curriculum Implementation: Assist in applying our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, tailoring approaches to meet the unique needs of Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers.
  3. Safety First: Ensure a nurturing and safe environment where children can flourish.
  4. Family Communication: Partner with teachers in keeping parents informed about their child's progress and milestones through various communication channels.
  5. Center Collaboration: Work effectively with center staff and leadership to support retention, enrollment, and engagement initiatives.
  6. Relationship Builder: Develop warm relationships with families and colleagues, harmonizing learning and play seamlessly.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: High School Diploma/GED required; Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Experience: Previous experience in childcare or a strong passion for early childhood education preferred.
  • State Compliance: Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role, including performance level, immunizations, employment physicals, and health and safety training.
  • Caregiving Skills:
    • Ability to identify and address potential risks in a childcare setting.
    • Ensure children's safety and meet their daily needs, including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
    • Model and promote good social skills, such as strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
    • Keep children active, engaged, and entertained with developmentally appropriate activities.
    • Exhibit high levels of composure, patience, and professionalism consistently.
  • Physical Resilience:
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods without discomfort.
    • Comfortable lifting and carrying objects up to 40 pounds.
    • Capable of reaching and stretching, climbing, and balancing as necessary.
    • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Experience using a stool or ladder for reaching high places.
  • Ability to supervise children by sight and sound.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various temperatures, ranging from 20°F with wind chill to 95°F.
  • Maintain mental and physical alertness to effectively perform essential job functions.
