Overview
GCG is on the lookout for a dedicated EHS Systems Specialist to fortify and enhance our comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) systems and programs. If you have a passion for data, systems, and safety, along with a knack for simplifying complex information, this role is perfect for you. You'll play a critical role in managing our EHS management systems and learning management systems (LMS), assuring accuracy, compliance, and optimization to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance EHS management and LMS platforms, ensuring functionality, data accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Act as the system administrator for EHS tools including user access, troubleshooting, training, and ongoing support.
- Maintain precise EHS records and documentation to support compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001, and other relevant standards.
- Ensure audit readiness by effectively tracking certifications, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance activities.
- Analyze EHS data to assist in internal reporting, regulatory submissions, and leadership decision-making.
- Collaborate with EHS leadership on reporting, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and oversee EHS training programs, including needs assessment, assignment, completion tracking, and communication.
- Support incident tracking, claims management, and external reporting, including workers' compensation and insurance coordination.
- Work cross-functionally with IT, HR, and business teams to ensure systems align with organizational needs and integrate effectively.
- Identify process, systems, and data quality improvement opportunities to boost overall EHS performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 3-4 years of experience in health, safety, environmental management, or related systems.
- Experience administering enterprise systems, preferably EHS management or compliance platforms.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including OSHA, EPA, DOT, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Proven ability to manage data, analyze trends, and produce meaningful reports for decision-making.
- Experience in supporting system implementations, upgrades, or integrations with enterprise tools.
- Excellent organizational skills capable of handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% as needed.
