What You'll Be Doing:
To provide direct, basic patient care under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse.
To provide care and cleaning of specific equipment, stocking of supplies and equipment, and the transportation of patients, supplies and equipment. In addition, the ER Tech monitors the central station monitors, interprets the cardiac rhythms, documents rhythm strips every shift and more frequently when needed and notifies the Registered Nurse of any rhythm changes.
Performs all blood specimen collection for Emergency Room patients by venipuncture, finger stick or heel stick according to policy.
What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma
Proof of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from an approved institution or training program preferred (may be required). Or completion of clinical hours from a accredited school of nursing or similar health care related program.
1+ years relevant experience
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to prioritize and process information with accuracy and clarity. CPR certification required.
