Additional Incentives:

The Good Samaritan Society - Canistota is a 55-bed facility that offers rehabilitation and senior living services, conveniently located about 30 minutes from Sioux Falls.
Job Summary
The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) is responsible for delivering high-quality resident-centered care and providing daily living assistance in a long-term care setting. You will:
- Demonstrate expert-level skills as a certified nursing assistant while supporting other staff.
- Provide assistance with daily health care needs and activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, assist with mobility, and promote resident engagement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions and communicate concerns effectively to the nursing team.
- Participate in wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident involvement.
- Assist with housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Support the nursing team with restorative programs, documentation, and scheduling as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the State Board of Nursing required.
- Completion of yearly competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (12 hours annually).
- May require completion of Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
- Valid driver’s license may be necessary based on responsibilities.
