Field Resource Trainer - Traveling Position (80% Travel)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Resource Trainer for a travel-based role. Candidates may be located anywhere, as work is performed primarily at customer and field locations. This position delivers hands-on technical training to field service technicians on site. Approximately 80% of this role requires travel, with periodic "home office" weeks built into the schedule for training development and administrative work.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on-site technical training to field service technicians
  • Travel extensively to multiple locations to conduct hands-on instruction
  • Submit training reports to the Field Resource Training Manager
  • Complete training assessments
  • Assist in creating new training materials
  • Update and modify existing training materials
Required Experience & Skills
  • Heavy-duty mechanical experience (transit bus experience preferred)
  • Electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience required
  • 1-2 years of training experience preferred
  • Technical writing experience a plus
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment preferred (CAN software, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Qualifications & Other Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to perform physical work duties similar to a field technician
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Strong customer-service mindset and high level of professionalism
Travel Requirements
  • Extensive travel required (approximately 80%)
  • Majority of work performed in the field at customer and service locations
  • Regular regional and national travel
  • Scheduled home-office weeks for training preparation and administrative tasks
