Location: Rio Grande High School

An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award

NM2050 is a small non-profit that manages several agriculture andnutrition internship programs at the Rio Grande Community Farm and otheragriculture locations. The internship program is connected withAPS Career and Technical Education. High School students work with a teacher atseveral work sites. High School students work 3 days at agriculturerelated businesses, 1 day of field trips and 1 day in the classroom.

The Field Supervisor works with a supervising teacher to help oversee astudent crew that works at various agriculture industry locations such asfarms, Farm to Table businesses, food distribution sites, etc. The Fieldsupervisor must be comfortable supervising high school students to keep them ontask, provide guidance and feedback on job skills such as communication,problem solving, conflict resolution and safety. The duty day is 9-12,M-F pay is $20 hr. Plus a gas allowance for travel to multiple locations ifnecessary. Field Supervisors meet daily at several job locations. TheField Supervisor will be assigned to either Valley or Sandia High Schoolteachers.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to perform manual laborwith students. Able to tolerate high temperatures. Can acceptguidance from a supervising teacher. Able to motivate and guide students atwork sites. Have reliable transportation.
