About the Role
The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for all of the Company's financial reporting including consolidation of all entities. The person in this role will also assist in the department's execution and continuous improvement of the financial reporting process and technical accounting.
What you'll do
Lead the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting (10-Q and 10-K equivalent reports)
Serve as the accounting subject matter expert on reporting requirements; perform technical research and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with lender and applicable regulations
Prepare footnote schedules and analysis
Preparation of more complex disclosures and footnote schedules
Partner with Corporate Controller and FP&A as needed to support any other reporting needs
Ensure accuracy of information presented by performing tie-outs to source documents and collaborating with other functional groups to draft appropriate disclosures in accordance with US GAAP
Assist in preparing quarterly Board of Directors meeting materials and facilitate the internal review of the completed materials
Prepare the company's consolidated financial statements by preparing intercompany adjusting and eliminating entries
Perform detailed financial and variance analysis of significant accounts, as well as other standard and ad-hoc analysis, as needed
Assist in researching and preparing conclusions on technical accounting matters
Conduct special projects, prepare ad-hoc reports and other analyses at leadership team's request
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholder groups to understand the business and ensure timely and accurate exchange of information, as well as anticipate and mitigate potential risk through internal controls
Support annual audit process; provide support and requests as needed and ensure proper documentation of complex processes
Support overall controls structure through timely completion and review of key reporting and monitoring activities
Support monthly close as needed through review and/or preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations and journal entries
What you'll Bring
Bachelor degree in Accounting required, Masters Degree and/or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including a mix of corporate, operational, and public accounting preferred
Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
Robust internal controls understanding
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills; ability to present financial information in a meaningful, understandable way
Experience with preparation of 10-K and 10-Q filings is a plus
Global mindset; Familiarity with global accounting principles (IFRS) is a plus
Demonstrated history of solving operational and accounting challenges
Good working knowledge of accounting software (SAP, Workday, etc) is a plus
Excellent Microsoft Office product skills, especially Excel.
Detail oriented, ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Salary Benefit
The salary range for this role is $110,000-$130,000; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
