OVERVIEW:

The Freight Flow Team Leader plays a vital role in executing brand standards and enhancing the teammate experience. Working closely with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, this leader is the in-store expert for their department. The Freight Flow Team Leader is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and guiding teammates as their primary point of contact and coach. Their ability to lead by example, be empathetic, resilient in challenging situations, optimistic, and collaborative is what sets them apart.

  • Contributes to building and hiring a strong team by participating in in-store interviews and department tours.

  • Cultivates a people-first culture by engaging with every teammate to foster mutual trust and respect, contributing to a strong store recognition culture.

  • Plans and organizes store operations effectively with input from the Assistant Store Manager, ensuring alignment on workforce needs to execute daily assignments and store events.

  • Strategically utilizes teammates to meet brand standards and execute daily programs, delegating tasks based on their priority level.

  • Assists store leadership with general supervision, including opening and closing the store and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by ensuring compliance with floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, and inventory presentation.

  • Participates in training teammates on company procedures, including onboarding new staff and providing cross-training opportunities.

  • Prioritizes coaching and development for oneself and others, providing hands-on guidance and demonstrating the rationale behind tasks and processes.

  • Leads by example to support the organization’s vision, helping teammates understand how their responsibilities align with common goals and enhancing the shopping experience.

  • Creates an inclusive environment where all teammates and customers feel welcomed and respected.

  • Adheres to established safety and operational procedures, maintaining confidentiality of company information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.

  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift items weighing between 15 to 50 lbs. repetitively.

  • Ability to work for extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).

  • Capability to lift items up to 70 lbs. intermittently using proper lifting techniques or equipment.

  • Comfortable working at heights greater than 4 feet with the use of a ladder or aerial lifting device.
