- Team: The EAA Compliance CXAE team plays a critical role in Coinbase's Enterprise Applications and Architecture organization. This team develops customer experience platforms that enhance customer service and compliance processes through innovative services, tools, and applications, improving efficiency and accuracy for compliance KYC processes, which ultimately boosts customer satisfaction.
- Role: You will be building applications that empower Coinbase Customer Agents and other users to increase productivity, drive automation, and create significant impact through full stack development and third-party integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new services to address essential business needs using Golang, GRPC, Typescript, and React.
- Assist team members in design strategies and implement best practices in coding, testing, deployment processes, documentation, metrics/logging, and scaling.
- Exhibit a solid understanding of Coinbase's platform and development practices, contributing to improvements across teams.
- Engage in a dynamic environment where innovative ideas are regularly conceived and executed.
- Anticipate potential challenges and adapt strategies proactively to mitigate any negative impacts.
- Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical leaders across the company.
- Simplify complex technical concepts so that they are easily understandable for non-technical team members.
- Collaborate with teams and colleagues across multiple time zones.
Candidate Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in developing web applications and delivering user-facing features using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React.
- Experience with third-party vendor integrations.
- A history of working on large-scale, high-traffic platforms and implementing scalable services in real-world scenarios.
- Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite, or similar technologies.
- Experience with concepts like rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, logging, and debugging.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, MQ), both SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as gRPC, GraphQL, and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in Go programming language.
- Ability to effectively use generative AI tools and continually adapt to evolving technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Python or Ruby.
- Familiarity with Kafka, MongoDB, or Snowflake.
- Background in SaaS platform development.
- Experience with applications utilizing OpenAI/ChatGPT or similar third-party integrations.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position ranges from $147,900 to $174,000 USD. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
